Electro-Fusion Jointing

An electro-fusion control box is used to pass a constant current through an electrofusion fitting which contains an integrated heating element. The combination of temperature and pressure caused by the heating and expansion of the polyethylene forms a homogeneous joint between the pipe and the fitting.
